When you join the SP Shooters you are not just joining a team you are joining a family. Our teams support each other during games and practices. Our older more experiences player will help the new players in the drills to improve there skills to bring them up to the skill level of other players abilities. The Winter session is a great session to get familiar with the Shooters Program. We focus our attention in the Winter to improve our players skill level. Most of our practice time is spent working on fundamental drills to improve all players skills. Tougher drills for our more advanced teams. By playing together all year our players are very ready for the upcoming Spring AAU season. Our Shooters teams play in the Sports Plus Winter league and Sports Plus hosted tournaments. Some of the teams will play in tournaments outside of Sports Plus when the Coach and Parents agree to.

Winter Fees: $175.00 per player
Uniform Cost is $100.00 - one time cost, same uniform used for all sessions.

The Spring session is largest session with the most players playing in our organization. In the Spring AAU session we have multiple teams in each grade bracket from 2nd grade up to high school. Our top teams "The Premier" teams play in multiple tournaments both at Sports Plus and travel to outside the Cincinnati area. Players must tryout and commit full time to a "Premier" team. Our Shooters house teams play in the Sports Plus Spring league and Sports Plus hosted tournaments. Our "Premier" & SP Shooters house teams both do fundraisers to help support the organization and to pay for additional tournaments and hotel costs.

Shooters Premier - $325.00 per player

NEW - AAU Boys Basketball Eligibility Requirements
*Proof of age and/or grade must be available for review, by an AAU designee at all AAU licensed competitions, if requested. If said information is not available the team is subject to removal from the competition.*

All Non-athletes/coaches are responsible to see that their team meets all eligibility requirements.Competition in boys’ basketball shall be in the following age/grade divisions:
7 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 7 on August 31, 2015
8 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 8 on August 31, 2015
9 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 9 on August 31, 2015
10 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 10 on August 31, 2015
11 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 11 on August 31, 2015
12 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 12 on August 31, 2015
13 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 13 on August 31, 2015
14 & UNDER DIVISION - no older than 14 on August 31, 2015
15U/9TH GRADE DIVISION - no older than 15 on August 31, 2015. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 9th Grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 16 on August 31, 2015 is eligible to play in the 15U/9th Grade Division.
16U/10TH GRADE DIVISION - no older than 16 on August 31, 2015. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 10th Grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 17 on August 31, 2015 is eligible to play in the 16U/10th Grade Division.
17U/11TH GRADE DIVISION - no older than 17 on August 31, 2015. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 11th Grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 18 on August 31, 2015 is eligible to play in the 17U/11th Grade Division.
19U/12TH GRADE DIVISION - no older than 19 on August 31, 2015. Grade Exception: An athlete who is in the 12th Grade as of October 1, 2014 and who is no older than 20 on August 31, 2015 is eligible to play in the 19U/12th Grade Division.

New this year "Training Teams" for the players that need more of the skill training.  A 10 week session Starting in March.  Wednesdays starting March 2nd from 6pm - 8pm.  Your first hour will consist of intense training to enhance all of the skills that are needed to play the game of basketball.  The 2nd hour will put your player in game time situations with and against players with at their same level.

Some of the teams will play in tournaments outside of Sports Plus when the Coach and Parents agree to (usually on the Spring season). 
Practices are on Mondays 6:00 to 8:00 pm for all grades, boys and girls. You are welcome to come to a practice to see what the Shooters are all about.

Fall Fees: $150.00 per player
Uniform Cost is $100.00 - one time cost, same uniform used for all sessions (new sublimation uniforms for all grades starting in Fall of 2016).

  • Each coach will pay one referee before each game. 2nd thru 8th grade fee is $22.00, High School fee is $25.00.
  • A $50.00 deposit is due at time of registration for each session. This fee will be carried over for future sessions or refunded after each session. To have deposit refunded or carried over, your team must show up for ALL scheduled games. If a team missed 1 game, they will forfeit their deposit for that session. If a team missed 2 games, they will forfeit their deposit for that session AND will be removed from the schedule.
  • No team will be on the schedule until all fees and deposits are paid in full for that session

AAU AND OHIO HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION RULES APPLY
  • Games are 6 minute stop and go quarters for 2nd thru 8th grade and 8 minute stop and go quarters for High School. 
  • TIME OUTS PER GAME are 2 Fulls and 2 Halves TOTAL.
  • THERE IS A "NO TOLERANCE" behavior policy for Players, Parents and Coaches.
  • 1 Warning to Coach and Player - the second will result in a technical foul. ONLY 2 TECHNICALS ALLOWED DURING LEAGUE PLAY. Any Team or Player that starts a fight will be dismissed from the league.
  • Parents are asked to remain calm - if warned and then asked to leave the facility, the team of that parent will receive a technical foul.
  • Balls:   2nd thru 7th grade boys - 28.5"  / High School boys - 29.5" / Girls - 28.5"
  • SCORE TABLE:  Home Team will keep book  / Visiting Team will keep clock.
